released book, Live in the Moment. The book offers readers a look at the kind of happiness cues that are well within reach for all of us in a voice that’s fresh, blatantly honest and often humorous. Not exactly a “Tip-Toe-Through-the-Tulips“ happy, says Robinson, but, a simple confidence that takes just about anything life throws at you and allows you to come out smiling.
Kissing, who is an advertising copywriter, told workshop attendees many advertising agencies will do creative work on a pro-bono basis if they're given wide creative control that allows them to create pieces they can enter in advertising competitions. Agency copywriters and designers often find their creativity hampered by clients and look for projects that are more open-ended. While an author still has to pay for printing, he or she may be able to get considerable creative work done at little or no cost.
Robinson enlisted the help of a friend at a Point to Point Communications (P2P), a Cleveland ad Agency. P2P did the creative and Robinson paid to have the pieces printed.
You can view Robinson's promotion pieces to the right and below. She's still waiting on promotional items she ordered to give to bookstore managers when she does "drive-by" book signings. What are they? A tub of bath salts with the book's cover art.

Robinson had 2,500 bookmarks printed. She has distributed them to friends across the country (and Canada) to hand out/leave behind at spas, schools, gyms, coffee shops and their workplaces. Robinson told her friends to leave the bookmarks "Anywhere that women go." She is customizing some with ribbons and beads for giveaways at book events.
Retail piece
Robinson printed 250 of these and plans to identify boutiques and large retailers that might be a good fit for her book.
Chamber of Commerce piece
Robinson printed 250 and has mailed 60 to towns with names such as "Happy Valley," "Paradise" and "Blissville." She says, "It's a long shot, but what the heck."
Human Resources Department piece
Robinson printed 250 of these and has mailed 100 to companies she's identified as "great places to work".
"Live in the Moment" Party invitation
Robinson printed 250 invitations and gives them to hostesses to fill out with specific party details and mail in an envelope. The idea for Live in the Moment parties was Robinson's. She saw it as a way to do more than the standard book singings. Her goal is for the party to bring the feeling of the book to life. Robinson originally intended to have parties in cities where she had friends. But her publisher thought the idea was so great, they asked Robinson include the party concept in the back of the book. Her Web site has a generic invitation that can be downloaded. Robinson offers herself as a “call in” guest for all parties.
